Happy birthday World of Caenyr! That's right, World of Caenyr has just turned 7 years old! What an amazing anniversary to have. It's been one exciting ride! I've seen a lot in all those years. The best roleplaying I've ever witnessed or had the pleasure to be a part of. I've seen the world evolve from a small mod with a few areas to a massive world full of adventure, peril, love, comedy, conflict, politics, war and peace. But mostly what I've seen is a community of players and friends unlike any other I've ever experienced in my life time.So thank you Caenyrites for 7 years of fun and friendships, and here's to many many more!
In guild related news there is currently a competition on the website for players in the community to submit an idea for a new guild in Caenyr. There are a few guidelines and only one entry allowed per player. The winner of the competition will be awarded guild leadership for the new group. For more details, or if you wish to submit an entry read the main post in my announcement forum.
As always it's time to welcome some players to Caenyr!

Happy April, World of Caenyr! Time flies when you're having fun so it has definitely flown by since March and there is plenty to tell you about so let's get started!
First it was another busy month for player activity in the community! First and foremost the very first Ohio Caenyr Convention took place on April 1st in Columbus. In attendance were myself (w00t! Had a blast!), Dissideous Rex, Maddock, Finden and Nam. We shared some great Caenyr stories over dinner, including some historical details about Caenyr's creation that the guys weren't aware of, and after that had a load of fun playing games in a big arcade. Everyone there was really great and I hope to see you all again for Ohio Con 2 in the future! Also in regards to player activity for the last month, check out this list of new and returning players! Join me in welcoming them to Caenyr!

As for roleplaying there have been some strange occurances in the Northern Chail Mountains near Kalanon. The Yuan-ti have grown in numbers and become more organized, and rumours of movement outside the Kalanon fold has been reported by farmers. Rumors of strange slithering creatures flocking to the area at night. Are the rumors true? Do the mountain villages have something new to fear in the dark? Jump in game yourself and investigate to find out!
For more general updates let's begin by joining me in congratulating Savannah, our Player of the Month for April. Savannah was awarded Player of the Month for her excellent RP and contribution to the RP of Karissians. Secondly the Item Rule has been updated to add new restrictions on Custom Items for the Ride Skill, and Mounted Combat/Archery Feats. These bonuses are not permitted on custom items. Finally we have a new Screenshot of the month here on the homepage, and also shown under the Screenshots photo album over on our MySpace page. A very sweet angle of the bridge leading to Dove Castle, home to the Ban Curaidh.
That's it for this month, Caenyrites. I'm hoping to have a new mod release out before next month's update so keep your eyes peeled for that! And don't forget next month marks our SEVENTH YEAR as a community, so there will be lots of special events and celebration for that!
