Kall was raised by his foster parents(at that time he didn't know they weren't his real birth parents) in the City of Tyran. Some would say that Kall's childhood was an ordinary one, for a human child anyhow. His parents did the best they could in raising him as a normal little boy, and they did a good job. Until he started showing signs of his true heritage, which was demonic. Those short, explosion like anger waves he had sometimes when things didn't go as he wanted, the brutal and violent behavior he had towards other children when he played with them...

As he grew older he would have these bursts of uncontrollable rage more often, and they were more destructive as the young man grew in strength. He would start fights with bigger boys as no one else dared to play with him. At these fights Kall felt great joy and fulfillment as he beat the others until some adult would come and separate the fighters...

It was when Kall accidentally(or so he claimed) killed one boy he was fighting with, he struck him on the head with a sharp rock and killed him instantly, Kall's foster parents decided to get rid of him. Unfortunately for them he heard them talking about it through a closed door.

"What fools we have been, when we though that a child with demonic bloodline could grow up as a normal boy."His father complained.

"Yes, but what is done is done. We can't have him go around killing anyone else, we must get rid of him, once and for all." His mother answered.

"I know this man who could arrange an accident to happen what would cost Kall's life, so we would..."

Kall had heard enough of this, his blood started boiling and lust for Vengeance at his deceitful parents started to grow inside of him. He grabbed an axe that lied beside the wall and stormed in to the room, his parents were filled with Fear as they saw Kall burst in with an axe in his hands and Evil burning in his eyes. Kall jumped on his father and swung the axe, so that it stuck in the thick skull of the old man. He released his grip from the axe, letting the carcass of his father fall down to the floor and turned to his mother, she tried to run to the door and escape but Kall was quicker. He kicked a chair to her feet and she fell to the floor, the raging son grabbed the chair and beat her to death with it. Kall looked at his foster parents lifeless bodies and smiled, but he could not stay in Tyran, not after this.

So Kall packed his bags and left Tyran, he took the boat to Chail as he felt something itching inside of him that drove him towards Chail. The boat arrived in the slums of Chail, there he found one nearly empty house. Only couple beggars dwelt there and Kall scared them away easily. He took the house as his place for now, but the itch, a burning sensation inside would not stop. Nothing could take away it, not the thrill of a kill or the soft touch of prostitutes. It was time to move further, further south. Kall traveled towards south through mountains and valleys, until he came upon the Lands of the Dark Knights...

Many men whom Kall had met in his travel had warned not to go too south for there was the Ultimate Evil, Temple of Misery and the Dark Knights. The more Kall learned from this God Melivar, the more convinced he was that there was where he needed to travel. There he would gain powers beyond imagination, and there he would found true home. Kall arrived to the temple of Misery, the way there was not clear nor straight, but all Kall had to do was follow the burning sensation that was inside him. He entered the temple and was overwhelmed by the waves of Vengeance, Misery, Fear and Evil that washed through him as he walked towards the throne. He fell to his knees and screamed as loud as he could.

"Lord Melivar!

I am here My Lord, I was brought here by pure instinct.

I will do Your bidding My Lord!

I am your Servant My Lord!"

He yelled at the empty temple and shivered, the way of the Curse had begun for Kall...

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Demon inside Kall had taken a hold of him more then ever before, the control for his actions was slipping away from him. The Demon side of Kall was strong, stronger then before. It gave Kall strength, yes, but it also took away the control of his actions. In battle he would just hack away without caring for any tactics that he had learned, and be defeated because of it. This had to stop, he decided, but Kall also knew that alone he could not accomplish it. So he went to the one that had supported and fed Kall with power and wisdom, his god Melivar...

Kall's actions as devout cleric and follower had brought him a place among the Inquisition of Melivar, They were the blade of a sword that would hit those who would forgot or ignore the call of their God. They would search and teach followers of Melivar, and also destroy those who opposed the will of their One God. Melivar granted help for harnessing the demon for His devout Inquisitor. Kall would just have to find items that would be needed in the ceremony where the demon would be bound to the will of Melivar...

The ever vigilant Inquisitor found the needed items with ease and was ready for everything that would be needed to gain control over the demon inside him. Kall presented the items to his God, and He transported them to some other plane. There Kall went through a battle with his demon self, and was victorious. After long rituals of arcane, Kall gained a necklace, control, it would keep the demon under Kall's control and would bind it to the service of Melivar. The body of Kall had weakened to the form he was when he first came to Chail, but Melivar blessed him and he already felt stronger. He would have to train himself again, this time in total control over himself and so much more dangerous.

As Kall saw his own image he was surprised, his appearance had gone changes as he came from the other plane. Now his eyes were completely pitch black, he had grown two small horns in to his forehead and his skin was dark red...

Now that Kall had complete control over himself he could join the Dark Knights, like he always had wanted to join that mighty army of Darkness. He already knew many who were in their ranks, he had fought beside them against their foes, enemies of Melivar. Kall was appointed tasks to fulfill before they would have him to their ranks, to test Kall's worth. The final mission was appointed to him by the General of Dark Knights,
Balok Cole
A loud mouthed, orc blooded, ruthless killer, a monster of a man. Balok made quite the impact on Kall with his unforgiving nature. And the huge amount of respect that The Slayer, as his title was in the Dark Knights, had from the other Knights was nearly overwhelming. From their first meeting Kall started to train himself to be like him. After all he was a Cleric of Melivar as well. He was as much as an idol to Kall as the Overlord himself.

The task was to burn down the Church in Chail, this would be no problem for Kall, as with the powers Melivar had granted him he could create fire easily. Kall burned the Church, but the citizens managed to put the fires out eventually. None the less Kall had done what was asked and so he was welcomed to the Ranks of the Dark Knights. Years went by as Kall progressed so much that it was time for his trials for knighthood...

Many different tasks and mission was appointed to him, The Demon, as nearly all the Knights called him, fulfilled every task. The ceremony for Kall's knighting was amazing, after that he had never felt such emotion of belonging to something greater. He was now the Terror of the Dark Knights. And soon after this he was appointed as the Dungeonmaster of Mortuor...

More time past and Kall learned that his Arch Nemesis, a barbaric man named...
Konar RedRiver...
Now the Warlord of the Horde and High Priest of Raekhan, a ruthless Killer and a worthy foe to face in the field of battle. There is no any other northerner who Kall respects, in his own twisted way. He was just a barbarian when Kall faced him for the first time, but has evolved to a Raekhanian Nemesis and now a Cleric of Hate.
...was in fact his half-brother. The two of them had crossed blades many times and would face each others many times to come.

The talents of Kall's strategic wisdom and tactics in warfare were recognized as he was promoted as the Commander of the Legion of the Misery. This new job would bring many new challenges and glory to Kall...

***************************************************************

And so it came to pass that Kall, The Terror of the Dark Knights, Inquisitor of Melivar, Commander of Legion of Misery, would let go of his Divine Powers as a Cleric. And would hone himself anew, learning the ways of the Nemesis... And the ways of Misery's Warrior.

He would become a true Warrior for Evil's cause...

He would be perfected in the use of his old preferred weapon, the Warhammer...

He would become... A new Terror...

With a slam the door is opened and Kall rushes in, he came right after the incident on Fields of Sorrow. The General Tuscany had engaged in deadly battle with a Paladin and Kall had been unable to resurrect her. An overwhelming wave of Misery had struck him after he had realised how much he missed the divine powers flowing through his veins. It was to die for. He strides in front of the throne and kneels in prayer.

"Oh Wicked One...

I have realised an error in my ways...

The mastery of one weapon in your name has too great of a price for me...

I... I yearn the Divine touch of your Might flowing through my arms spreading Fear among the unworthy...

The way of Priesthood, i yearn it back...

Tear down this body of mine and let me began New!

I wish to again feel the flow of Your Divine Presence me like i felt before..."

He silences to wait an answer of some kind.

A whisper of the wind from the doorway and the howling of Gnolls outside was the only Answer Kall got. But he knew, he knew very well that his Path as Warrior Priest was the only True Way for him. The very first Blessing that he learned in his youth was Divine Favor, and from that moment on he knew that he indeed was in Favor of the one and only True God.

Training again to use the Powerful Divine blessings was easy, he knew excatly where to Train and what sort of magical items to wear. His time as a Nemesis and Misery's Warrior was not wasted, thought it was not His Path to walk, He learned many useful skills from his months without the Divine Touch flowing through his arms. He was more focused and ever more Dangerous Foe to face.

Fear and Misery, the Bastage Sword that had slayed hundreds, or maybe even thousands of Unworthy Fargs, was yet again to be Cleaned and Polished so that it may again be used by it's righfull owner. It was given to Kall by Melivar himself, for retrieving an ancient tome. Since it had been empowered more by the Trade Guild, and now it was the perfect tool for cleansing the world from the Unworthy. It is poorly balanced due the Heavy and Keen blade, but with Might granted by Melivar the balance is corrected and it is Perfect fit to the right hand of the Terror.

***************************************************************

With a wide grin on his face Kall judged his hand work from the mirror in the steam room. He had suffered a large chunk of his scalp to a sneaky Sinestrath invader when they tried to take over Mortuor, but failed doing so. Being a stylish demon Kall could not go around walking with a big bald spot on the top of his head, so he shaved it completely. And it looked pretty damn Evil too. He almost felt a moment of joy in the midst of his Misery and Pain caused by the defeat to the Champion in a duel for the leadership of the army. Almost, but not quite. The Torment was so overwhelming that it burned in his dark soul with every breath he took. It must end, one way or another...

********************************************************

Vengeance, Kall got his. He got Retribution for his loss against the Defiler. And by defeating his former Master, Kall was now the sole leader for the Army of the Dark Knights, answering only to the ruler of all Genocise and Primisula, the Overlord himself. A fantasy that had haunted his mind from the day he joined the cause, to lead the Dark Knights, and now he had it. It was not to be wasted, and Kall would certainly not do so. He planned to do great things, Evil things with the ultimate fighting force that was now under His command. Dark times are ahead...

********************************************************

For many years the Terror led the infamous army of the Dark Knights, but everything was not as it seemed. They were successful, active and feared. Only a few of the northern cattle ever had the courage to come and visit the southern lands of Genocise. It was during this reign when Kall was made the Champion for Melivar, Evil's Hand, he now carries the Sworn Vengeance with great pride.

But before things of great importance in the Dark Knights even had the chance to begin, the Overlord in his infinite wisdom, after hearing Balok Cole's report on the Dark Knights, ordered them to burn. Rotten to the core, that's what Slayer's report said. And Kall was sitting in the middle of it all. Too close to see it. But after it had been explained to him, he saw it clearly and agreed on the decision completely. Nearly all of the Dark Knights were murdered, a handful of true warriors of the cause were taken to the Legion, another handful fled away showing their rat like nature in full. Kall, he was appointed as the Captain of the Genocian Royal Guard, to serve under the Overlord himself.

Dreams of Power had been enticing Kall for months, so he begun a pilgrimage to the Fallen Mount. He encountered many mighty foes and conquered them all. At the Mount he came upon a Demon Prince, or so it proclaimed, a creature of considerable power by any standards at least. It was impressed by Kall's performance and the two of them came upon an agreement that satisfied them both. Kall left the Mount as a very different man, or not a man at all. One of the creatures that the Terror fought tried to poison him, but the poison mixed in with his demon blood had unbelievable consequences. Kall saw death but came back fighting. His senses ten fold with demonic side effects. His face melted off, leaving a skull with curved horns, Balor like. He grew gigantic in human standards.

The death of Balok Cole offered Kall a second chance at leading the army of the Overlord once more. There was no second chances under the Overlord, it was a miracle and Kall was not about to question his luck. He now leads the Legion to another era of Terror.

Description :

A giant of a man, no not a man, a half-demon. An obvious one, he has a skull face. It is similar to that of a Balor, nothing but a white bone skull. With sharp canine teeth and large horns curving down and up from each side of his skull. There's a certain evil gleam in the eye holes too. He towers at over seven feet tall, and measures over four hundred pounds in weight. In his body there's little to no fat, just pure ripped muscle. His skin as pale and white, as is the pair of wings flapping slowly on his back.

He wears a shiny dark and heavy plate mail armor, with several spikes and thorns placed in the shoulders, forearms, thighs and boots. Sharp iron talons are placed in the tip of his fingers on his gauntlets, ready to rip and shred. A large carving of a single skull pierced through with a short sword is decorating the chest piece of his armor.

He carries a massive looking bastage sword that glows in pure white, in straight contrast with it's dark core. It is twisted evil looking with all the sharp thorns on the blade and the pair of monstrous hands as a cross-guard. There's an undecipherable demonic inscription on the lower part of the blade. A single black gem is placed on the middle of the cross-guard, and a head of a demon like bird serves as a pommel.
And in his other hand there is a heavy black shield, that is decorated with a painting of two skulls impaled together with a pike.

The Faith for Melivar has given me so much, true control of my inner demon, not just control anymore but unity. Unity with my former chaotic demon self, it too has surrendered to the service of the One Lord. The Faith has given me a purpose among the Dark Knights, and i have found my place in this world. I will train and mold the pitiful maggots that step in from our gates, in to artists of Combat, Masters of Battle...

The place of a Commander in the Legion of Misery was a job, but the Faith in Melivar was a calling. The numbers that I have turned to Melivar can't be counted by one hands fingers anymore, they are plentiful indeed. As an Inquisitor I am truly at my best, to either force or simply insist that the followers will keep their Faith is the thing I want most. The greatest pleasures in my life is when i turn someone to follow My Lord, Melivar. To know that another one has seen the Truth of this miserable word and knows who will rule it eventually...

I am one of the founding members of the Inquisition, one of the first. I remember the time when there was no Inquisition, and when the temple was attacked by Tyllarians and their powerful leader, mage Jesax. The elf had come with force and had tried to destroy the temple, and more yet had tried to convert the Melivarians by offering them a way out of the Misery and Fear. He had offered them redemption for their sins if they would deny Melivar and turn to Tyllar...

At that time the followers were not organized as we are now, then only the most devout ones came and protected the temple from the attacks. It took several attacks before we caught one of them alive and had change to question him, he gave few hints of where the attackers would hide. But the dreams of Graven Beld, now the Archbishop of the Dark Knights, revealed the cave in which the Tyllarians were hiding...

We decided to strike fast and with force, all the devout followers were invited to the attack and most of them came. The attack on the Tyllarians went just as we had planned it to be, fast and with force we crushed the resistance and made our way to Jesax. He fell from his Faith in Justice and graved for Vengeance now, that though overwhelmed him and he destroyed himself...

After the battle was over the gathered decided to form the Inquisition, for better organize all the followers. For all of the followers deserved to know if their Master needed them, and they deserved to face the Vengeance of the Inquisition also if they failed to follow their Faith. The Inquisition and the Force behind it has been proved time after time, every time the Inquisition has planned and made an Attack it has succeeded. Never have we failed to do Our Lords bidding, and we never will...

Artifacts of the Terror -Volume I : Armor of the Terror

"There are many things in this world which can bring a man to his knees, begging for mercy, but there are few that can do it by their mere presence alone. The owner of this armor, is one of those few...
The Terror of the Dark Knights."

So says the inscription written inside the breastplate of this powerful piece of armor, written by no other the the Overlord Verin Dy'ness himself. And it is accurate. The meer image of a tall and broad man such as Kall carrying a nearly hundred pound set of dark armor on him is enough to bring lesser man to his knees. Horrid spikes almost ten inches long attached to the shoulder plates only multiply this image of a ruthless killer. Several smaller spikes decorate the throat, arms, knees and legs. Each designed to a purpose, a purpose of making the armor set itself a weapon of destruction. Masterful of it's use, the General who has worn this armor since his Knighting trials many years ago, knows exactly how to move and strike so that those nasty spikes will shred his foes in to pieces little by little. The material is all blackened steel, with dark hardened leather and chain to keep it whole and maximize the mobility in it. Black is to color of the Dark Knights, and there's a thin silver lining marking the leadership of the wearer.

The magical properties imbued to this armor set, made by masters of craft now long dead, are immense. It concentrates on one particular trait, and exceeds the normal boundaries of magics cast by mortals, constitution. Kall can feel his stamina and hardness grow in to almost divine like measures when he wears the armor. His fortitude grows many times beyonds common mans, and his natural steady battle stance is empowered by the might in the armor. Those individuals that can make a mark, or a dent, in to this Dark set of armor are very few in the world.

Artifacts of the Terror -Volume II : Evil's Blessing

A Gift from the Gods is always put in high value by the mortals, no matter what they give, it is to be treasured and cared for. A simile dagger to those who know not it's origins, but a mighty artifact for the Terror. Melivar himself gave out this same dagger to all the member of the Original Inquisition, the founding members. It held no special properties when first given out, only the value of it's history and a slight glow of red evilness radiating from it.

Decorated with an image of demon or some other horrid creature with fangs or claws acting as the hilt of this cruel some dagger. The blade is sharp and has made hundreds of prisoners scream for death in the hands of the Terror. Old and fresh blood stains are here and there, making the dagger look even more wicked and just pure evil. There is a special place in Kall's belt for this magnificent piece of craftsmanship, he always holds it horizontally attached behind his back, for quick use.

Since the days of the Original Inquisition Melivar has been generous to all his children. Today the Curse hands out the Evil's Blessing to every devout He comes across. But none like the originals, shape and decorations are different and much more importantly, the history is different. Melivar has added one very useful property to the dagger, now those that posses a copy can communicate to each others, much like the link in the Dark Knights cloak. It has been crucial element in few Melivarian get-togethers. Evil's Blessing will always be with the Terror.

Artifacts of the Terror -Volume III : Bladebane

Masterfully crafted iron helm, four large horns have been mounted to it's sides. Each of them represents one of the Pillars of Melivar, Fear, Misery, Vengeance and Evil. Those domains have been written to the sides of the horns in ancient arcane symbols, providing superior enhancements. There's a horizontal hole from which the wearer can see through, though the structure and shape of the helm is such that it doesn't affect the line of sight by much. The helm attaches by a leather collar covered with protective scales. There's also custom made holes on the forehead part so that the helm fits despite of Kall's horns. A narrow vertical gap goes from the eye hole to the end of the front, to ease breathing while wearing the helm. The helm is all glossy black and pitch black with just a hint of silver lining here and there.

Terror's helm is aptly named, Bladebane, as it's magical protections are specifically aimed towards bladed weapon attacks. No spear or sword will have it's full effect on the General as he wears his battlehelm, in fact only the most damaging blows will cut through the powerful barrier that comes from the divine and arcane magics imbued to it. Same magics also increase Terror's luck and concentration. Kall has used the four horns of the helm as weapons more then once, with good success. Any common man would have trouble carrying the helm all day long as it is fairly heavy due the large horns and thick plating, but Kall is no common man and his neck has been fortified by wearing this helm.

Artifacts of the Terror -Volume IV : Accelerated Iron Boots

Never has there been such a cruel some pair of boots that could move so fast. Made from black iron these boots make an unmistakable sound as they clang against Mortuor's stone floor under Kall's feet. They are heavy to wear and walk with, but that matters not to the Terror. As he has strength beyond mortal boundaries through Melivar's blessings and powerful enhancements from his other artifacts. The black iron protects Kall's shins and his feet, it also provides a mighty blunt weapon as Kall stretches his leg and let's his might speak for himself. Chain socks keep the black iron plates together and they are, like all Kall's gear, masterfully crafted.

As heavy and un-agile the boots look, they are quite the opposite due the powerful magical enhancements. First and foremost they give the wearer the effects of arcane spell haste, which is by far the most important single enhancement that a man can have. There's also magics that guide the wearer to avoid being hit by his opponent. And magics that overall grant Kall to act more agile, quite an achievement for a pair of heavy plated iron boots.

The boots were first worn by a half-demon Monk that Kall encountered in one of his pilgrimages to Tyrania and the desert of Atharthok. In the hot sands he came across this odd creature, little to none clothes other then the plated boots, this sparked Terror's interest in the boots immediately. It didn't last long for Kall to challenge this fellow half-breed in combat, the monk fared well, more then well actually. At first it seemed like there was no stopping the monk who moved faster then Kall had ever seen any mortal move. Kall withstood the rapid, but not overly powerful attacks of the monks fists. As the Terror had run out his first wave of divine blessings he decided to savor his others and started to stall and fight defensively. Something he did very very rarely, but this time it was a wise decision. As the monk grew tired and Kall could notice that the boots started to weigh him down, then he drew forth his divine blessings once again and pushed forward, concentrating on striking the legs of the monk. The other half-breed didn't last long before he fell under Terror's endless strikes.

Kall was pleased with his performance and greedily ripped of the boots from the carcass, but to his disappointment they seemed to have no active magics in them as he pulled them to his feet, nothing at all, just a pair of black plated iron boots. But how had the monk moved so fast, he didn't seem to have any other unusual items on him, it had to be the boots, it had to be. Long the boots were forgotten and uncared for in Kall's treasury in Mortuor, only after he became the General he was in a position to order the Dark Knight magicians to study them. And it didn't take them long to unlock the powerful magics in them, from that day on the General has worn these boots daily.

Artifacts of the Terror -Volume V : Dark Defender

The name itself describes this horrid tower shield well, it wreaks of Evil and looks like something to consider before engaging the owner in combat. It goes well with Kall's over all dark and doom filled attire. There are three faces decorating it, build like a totem of sorts. At top is an eagle, it's wings spread high. In between is a face of a demon, which is the largest of the three. Below the demon is a skull with fangs, in both sides there is strange pair of eyes. A thick chain crosses over the shield and it also goes to the back, one would think it is not practical grip, build just from chain alone. But as soon as the wearer puts his arm through the chain the magics kick in and make the shield one with the bearer, it becomes easy to maneuver but still firm to grip. The coloring is dull, dark grey if not black. Obviously the shield has been in hard use, hundred notches all over prove that. Still it doesn't look like it's been ever heavily damaged or repaired. There's also a mystic initials J.S carved on the back, maybe from previous owner or the maker.

The real origins of Dark Defender are a mystery, Kall got his hands on this powerful artifact not long ago but has been in awe of it since. An Illithid creature trapped in time and space somewhere in Mortuor caused a Wraith to act crazy and almost start a rebellion among the Dark Knight Gnolls. Eventually it lead for the Dark Council on a quest in North, in a ghost town. There they went through annoying trials to earn the trust of the ghosts. They also fought off an army of Frog Demons known as Slaads, thus gaining the "Arms of the Former Leader" of the ghosts. The Dark Knights never really figured out who it was, or who the ghosts even were. But that mattered not, the Terror got treasures, powerful ones, it was worth the effort. This tower shield was one of the "Arms".

As told before, the magics grant the bearer significantly better handling then your normal tower shield. Stance becomes unfaltering and opponents are less likely to succeed in breaking concentration when casting divine spells. The magics of this shield do not only include superior handling, but several other near divine like properties are granted to the bearer. Wounds, small and large will start magically heal themselves when the Dark Defender is in hands. It also offers a short time spell mantle, immunity to almost all spells, in use. But the most potent ability of the shield is another spell, this one strips the opponent nearly of all active protective enchantments, and other spells as well. Last but not least, several fire blasts can be shot out from the decoration, from the demon's mouth to be exact. That is probably the most used property so far for Kall.
